Yep, you fucking engineering students, no offense, who thought we have no projects

We IT/ IS students have our own TTP baby

aka. Technopreneurship Team Project.

Just got back to UTP in the afternoon from home,

due to my injuries I was bedridden.

was suffering from something called the reactive arthritis.

Yea, thanks for all your concerns, ccb.

Anyways, was exploring the possible projects we can do for TTP,

but was distracted by the game engine I found online

Here's one of the maps I made using the engine.

I did not drew a single tile, so don't get too impressed with me :)

Gonna explore more later.

For now, time to bath and have TTP and MSCS meeting.

Freaking Injuries

After 8 months of not playing basketball,

I was excited to go back to UTP and start playing again

to get back in shape.

But after two days, the old injuries started resurfacing.

Now I have muscle strains on my left ankle, right ankle, left knee, and left elbow.

Now it's hard to even walk properly and my classes are so freaking far !!

So far, FML

Hope things will change soon :)

God will make a way, when there seems to be no way;

He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.

For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives. People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality.

I learnt never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never
became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a
result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical
details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end.
That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again. When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness.

I watched 那些年, 我们一起追的女孩 You Are The Apple of My Eyes

when I saw so many people commenting on their Facebook.

I am not really a fan of Taiwan movies or dramas,

so I opted for a downloaded version instead of going to the cinemas.

Basically, the movie is based on a novel written by Taiwanese writer 九把刀, aka Giddens.

The story is about the past life and love story of Giddens himself

This movie kinda helps me re-live the sweet memories of my secondary school years.

From going to school, always making noise and not studying with your friends,

playing basketball at school and doing whatever you can

to be closer to the girl that you like,

this movie has it all.

I'm thinking of doing my own Youtube channel and posting short skits or movies or even parodies

for the Youtube world.

Hey, you'll never know unless you try right?

What am I going to use to shoot the Youtube video?

Luckily, I used the money I saved during my internship to buy

a Canon 600D.

So come on friends, those who are interested can find me and maybe we can explore this

I had an epiphany !!

Today I had an epiphany on the bus..
was thinking about my life until now..
What had I done?
Sure I've smoked, drink,
almost joined a gang,
got into fights when I was still a kid.
But I never was what I always wanted to be..
a LEADER...

From this moment onward,
I'm living for myself and what makes me happy,

This is a story of a couple from Phillipins, There was a girl named Julie who used to fear falling in love because she has seen her mother's suffering, this girl has lost her father when she was 13 and her mother was left all alone with his memories & Stolen Moments !! Her father used to smoke a lot and because of smoking he suffered from cancer and died !

It's true no one knows destiny, this girl Julie who used to fear love and hate smokers has fallen in love with one of his class mate named McCoy who was a chain smoker. she used to tell his fathers story to him every-time they met expecting him to quit Smoking. she realized that he has started avoiding her as his friends used to tease him whenever he used to smoke with them. Julie wanted to see him happy so she stopped objecting him :'( and just after 3 months of her relationship she realized that he is suffering from a lung disease called emphysema caused due to smoking.

McCoy has fallen seriously ill and his treatment started, it continued for 2 years many times his health became so worst that doctors also thought he will die !! But it was Julie's love who kept him alive and recover, all these 2 years she spent all her time with him in the hospital.. she stopped going to college.. fought with parents.. invested all her pocket money.. and thus she defined love ..♥

It seems that alot of attackers use some tactic to get away with violence. Not many

people know how to take care of themselves when faced with such a

situation. Everyone should read this especially each n every girl in this world.

THOUGHT THIS WAS GOOD INFO TO PASS ALONG...

FYI - Through a rapist's eyes! A group of rapists and date rapists in

prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim

and here are some interesting facts:

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle.

They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid

or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to

go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common

targets.

2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women

who's clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors

around to cut clothing.

3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through

their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are

off guard and can be easily overpowered.

4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is

grocery store parking lots.

5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.

6] Number three is public restrooms.

7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman

and quickly move her to a second location where they don't have to

worry about getting caught.

8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged

because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going

after you isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or

other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their

hands.

10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to

the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince

these guys you're not worth it.

POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:

1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or

with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask

them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk:

can't believe it is so cold out here, we're in for a bad winter. Now

that you've seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up,

you lose appeal as a target.

2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of

you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to

said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would

not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY

target.

3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of

it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER

SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

4] If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can

do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from

behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and

armpit or in the upper inner thigh - HARD. One woman in a class this

guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was

trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin

and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching

yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.

5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a

particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it

is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and

make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our

instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of

trouble. Start causing trouble, and he's out of there.

6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers

and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing

down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using

much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked

audibly.

7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of

your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any

odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel

little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really

was trouble.

FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ....

I know you are smart enough to know these pointers but there will be

some, where you will go "hmm I must remember that" After reading,

forward it to someone you care about, never hurts to be careful in

this crazy world we live in.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your

body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.

2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks

for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from

you.... chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or

purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN

THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back

tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like

crazy. The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has

saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping,eating,

working, etc., and just sit

(doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON'T DO THIS! The

predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for

him to get in on the passenger side,put a gun to your head, and tell

you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or

parking garage:

a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be

hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the

passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE

RIDING A TAXI CAB) .

b. If you! u are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the

passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling

them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their

cars.

c. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and

the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest

your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a

guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE

THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are

horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS

RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times;

And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may

get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a

good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies

of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often

asked "for help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when

he abducted his next victim.

I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save a

life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going

to send this to the ladies only, but guys, if you love your mothers,

wives, sisters, daughters, etc., you may want to pass it onto them, as

well.

Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the

world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it's better safe than

sorry.

(4) When you are young, you use your health to chase your wealth/money. But when you are old, you use your money to buy back your health. Difference is that, it is too late.
(5) How happy a man is, is not how much he has but how little he needs.

A couple of months ago I posted about a Korean singer going for plastic surgery to change her appearance to look more like her bf's ex.

Paige, a member of South Korean pop band AStar, has successfully undergone plastic surgery to change her appearance.

The singer wanted to look like her lover's ex-girlfriend after finding out that he still loved her although she has died.

Paige has been discharged from the hospital in Guangzhou, China after having more than 10 parts of her face and body altered.

She underwent the surgery in another country to avoid being found out by the lover.

After more than 10 days of recovery, Paige held a press conference to show her new look and described that the result is fantastic.

The 23-year-old said she could not wait to return home to surprise her boyfriend, who has been in the dark about her cosmetic surgery as she had told him she went to China for work.

Paige wanted to change her face after finding out that her boyfriend still loved his first girlfriend, who was killed in a road accident several years ago.

"After seeing him over his ex-girlfriend, I asked myself what could I do to make him happy and I decided to change myself to look like her.

"I strongly believed that my boyfriend will be shocked and also be happy seeing the new me," Paige wrote on a blog about her "face-off" mission.

Paige wore a white dress to the press conference on Monday, the one her boyfriend likes to see her wearing.

Somewhere in Milaor, Camarines Sur, there lived a fourth grader boy who would follow this route to school everyday: He has to cross the rugged plains and cross the dangerous highway where vehicles are recklessly driving to and from.
Once past this highway, the boy would take a short cut, passing by the Church every morning just to say Hi to God, and faithfully say his, "Magandang umaga po" in Bicol dialect. He was faithfully being watched by a Priest who was happy to find innocence so uplifting in the morning,

"Kamusta, Andoy? Papasok ka na?"
"Opo padre ... "he would flash his innocent grin, the priest would be touched. He was so concerned that one day he talked to Andoy.
"From school...", he advised "Do not cross the highway, you can pass through the Church and I can accompany you to the other side of the road...that way I can see that you are home safe...."
"Thank you father ... "
"Why don't you go home ... why do you stay in this church right after school?"
"I just want to say 'Hi' to my friend, God," and the priest would leave the boy to spend time beside the altar, talking to himself, but the priest was hiding behind the altar to listen to what this boy has to say to his heavenly FATHER.

"You know my math exam was pretty bad today, but I did not cheat although my seatmate is bullying me for notes... I ate one cracker and drank my water, Itay had a bad season and all I can eat is this cracker.
Thank you for this! I saw a poor kitten who was hungry and I know how he feels so I gave my last cracker to him ... funny but I am not that hungry.
Look, this is my last pair of slippers ...I may have to walk barefoot next week, you see this is about to be broken... but it is okay....at least I am still going to school.... Some say we will have a hard season this month, some of my classmates have already stopped going to school .... please help them get to school again, please God?

....Oh, you know, Inay hit me again, it is painful, but I know this pain will pass away, at least I still have a mother.... God, you want to see my bruises? I know you can heal them.... Here... here and .... oh ...blood ....I guess you knew about this one huh? Please don't be mad at Inay, she is just tired and she worries for the food in our table and my schooling that is why she hits us....Oh, I think I am in love ... there's this pretty girl in my class, her name is Anita ... do you think she will like me? Anyway, at least I know you will always like me, I don't have to be anybody just to please you, you are my very best friend! Hey your birthday is two days from now!!! Aren't you excited? I am! Wait till you see, I have a gift for you . but it is a surprise! I hope you will like it! Oooops, I have to go ..." then he stood up and calls out, "Padre, padre, I am finished talking to my friend ....

This routine happens everyday. Andoy never fails. Father Agaton shares this every Sunday to the people in his church because he has not seen a very pure faith and trust in God, a very positive look at negative situations.
One Christmas day, Father Agaton was sick so he could not make it in the Church, he was sent to the hospital. The Church was left to 4 manangs who would chant the rosary in 1000 miles per hour, would not smile and would always find fault in what you do, they were also very well versed in cursing if you irritate them! They were kneeling, saying their kilometric rosary when Andoy, coming from his Christmas party,playfully dashed in.
"Hello God! I ......"
"P----!! (a curse) bata ka!! Alam mo nang may nagdadasal!! Alis!!"

Poor Andoy was so terrified, "Where's Father Agaton? He is supposed to help me cross the street ... and to be able to cross the street I will have to pass by the back door of this church .not only that, I have to greet Jesus. It is His birthday, I have a gift right here....

" Just as he was about to get the gift out of his shirt, the manang pulled his shirt and threw him out of the church. "Susmaryosep!!! (does the sign of the cross fervently) Alis kang bata ka, kung hindi matatamaan ka!!!
So the boy had no choice but to cross the dangerous side of the road in front of the church. He crossed. A fast moving bus came in.
There was a blind curve. The boy was protecting his gift inside his shirt, so he was not looking. There was so little time. Andoy died on the spot. A lot of people crowded the poor boy, the body of a lifeless young boy ...
Suddenly, out of nowhere a tall man in a pure white shirt and pants, a face so mild and gentle, but with eyes full of tears... He came and carried the boy in His arms. He was crying. Curious bystanders nudged the man in white, and asked,
"Excuse me sir, are you related to this child?
Do you know this child?"
The man in white, His face mourning and in agony, looked up and answered,
"He was my best friend . " was all he said. He took the badly wrapped gift in the bloody chest of the lifeless boy, and placed it near His heart.
He stood up and carried the boy away and they both disappeared in sight.
The crowd was curious ...
On Christmas Eve, Father Agaton learned of the shocking news. He visited the house, and wanted to verify about the man in white. He consulted the parents of Andoy.

"How did you know that your son died?"
"A man in white brought him here." sobbed the mother. "What did he say?"
The father answered, "He did not say anything. He was mourning. We do not know him and yet he was very lonely about our son's death, as if he knew our son very well. But there was something peaceful and unexplainable about him.
He gave me my son, and then he smiled peacefully. He brushed my son's hair away from his face and kissed him on his forehead, then he whispered something..."
"What did he say?"
"He said to my boy..." the father began, "Thank you for the gift .... I will see you soon ... you will be with me..." and the father of the boy continued, "and you know for a while, it felt so
wonderful ... I cried, but I do not know why....all I know is I cried tears of joy .... I could not explain it, Father, but when that man left, something peaceful came over me, I felt a deep sense
of love inside ... I could not explain the joy in my heart, I knew my boy is in heaven now but...tell me, Father, who is this man that my son talks to everyday in your church, you should know because you are always there ... except at the time of his death ......"Father Agaton suddenly felt the tears welling in his eyes, with
trembling knees, he murmurred, " ... He was talking to no one ......
but .. GOD...."

I saw an article today which was really meaningful when I was scouring the Internet.

It's titled "Singer Goes Under Knife To Look Like Boyfriend's Ex".

A singer in Korea has gone under the knife to look like her boyfriend's ex-lover.

Paige, a member of K-pop girls group AStar, took the drastic move upon finding out that her boyfriend still loved his former girlfriend who had died.

"I found his photographs with the woman while cleaning up his stuff earlier this year."

"Later, I noticed that he would always look at the pictures and cry. I realised that he still has not forgotten her," said Paige.

Apparently, the ex-girlfriend was killed in a road accident several years ago.

The whole operation took 10 days and cost about 200,000 yuan (RM98,452).

Paige is currently recuperating from the surgery.

Lots of things happened.

A good friend of mine and his gf came down and find me before raya.

He's a good guy and don't drink.

But weirdly, that night he insisted we go have a drink.

Had the all too popular Sushi Zanmai last week when Sufang was here.

it was usually crowded, with very long lines during the weekends.

You have to wait for an average half an hour just to get a seat.

Total bill is RM60++ for 2 pax,

Sufang was here last week,

we are both hungry people and LOVE to eat

so we went on an eating spree.

Continue from my last post

Last week I was down almost USD130. My initial investment is USD230, not USD 250.

I had only USD100 left in my account and with such small amount,

i can't really buy a lot of currency.

So I buy a little, let it profit and sell.

But by today,

Slowly and slowly,

I managed to earn back USD90.

Today, my account stands USD192.

Hopefully I can get back all my loss within this week or the next.

Forex trading is definitely one of the greatest things I had ever discovered =)

I nearly gave up on FOREX trading

Started playing FOREX recently, banked in RM800, after charges, is left with USD250.

At first, things are not going good, and the first week of playing, I lost a total of USD100,

but hey,

it's all part of the learning process right?

Like they say:

"If you've never failed,

you've never lived."

Made me nearly give up on Forex trading actually,

but thanks to the unending encouragement from my Sufang,

I managed to persevere.

NEVER GIVE UP ON MY DREAM !!!

Two days ago I was left with USD100 from my initial investment of USD250.

Now, I managed to earn back USD47.

It took me nearly a week to re-learn a valuable lesson which I read countless times on the numerous Forex books that I've read.

"NEVER trade against the trend"

Finally I learned it today,

when I visited MPH during my lunch break,

I read a book on stock trading,

One successful investor said,

"I will never look for reversals,

when prices keep rising,

go with the trend"

So I hope to get back my initial investment by the end of next week and maybe make some profits starting next week =)

Lessons learned:

1. Never trade against the trend

2. Hold trades for more than a day. Don't be a day trader, it will eat the life out of you.

3. Don't look for reversals, you will always be disappointed.

21st Birthday - A Lelong Treat =)

I'm writing this post in conjunction of Lelong's E-Commerce Fair 2011 Contest "Submit and Win".

But that's not the only reason I'm writing this.

I'm writing this because this birthday celebration has been one of the best of all =)

Let me tell you my story (and Sufang's story as well):

(MIKE):

I was excited to meet Sufang this weekend in KL. I had finished packing the night before and after my final class on Friday, my brother drove me directly to Ipoh bus station to catch a bus to KL. I stood there impatiently waiting for my bus to arrive. It was behind schedule by 30 minutes, which is quite a common trend in Malaysia, delaying literally everything.

After waiting for almost an hour, my bus finally came into sight and I hopped on. After settling down into my seat, I leaned back and closed my eyes to relax.

(SUFANG):

I was lost of ideas of what to get for Mike for his birthday, until I was scrolling down the pages of Superbid. The Guess watch caught my attention immediately. I knew at that instant, that the watch would be the perfect gift for Mike. That's cause he always wanted a watch and Guess is one of his (and my) favorite brands.

Having bought quite a lot of stuff from Superbid, I was quite impressed with their customer service and efficiency in delivering their products on time. When Wednesday come and the bidding starts, I pounced on the watch, outbidding everyone. It was challenging yet fun, trying to compete with other buyers to buy the watch. But I knew I would not be outbid-ed by others and finally, I emerged the winner.

Only one day after payment, I received the watch from Superbid (That's how efficient they are). I wrapped it with some gift papers and kept it safely inside my backpack.

And then, I began counting the days left to Friday, when we meet =)

(MIKE):

After I reached KL, I loitered around the station for a while, since Sufang hadn't reached yet. A little more than an hour later, she reached as well, and we went to our friend's place, where we will spend the night.

When we reached our friend's place, It was already night. Therefore, being as tired as can be, we took to the bed, and getting ready for the big day tomorrow.

I still don't have a clue of what she will give me for my birthday, she seemed so excited and secretive, so I guess it had to be something big.

But i NEVER expected what she had planned for me.

(SUFANG):

The next morning (the big day for Mike), we woke up and got ready. Then, the four of us, Mike, another two friends, and I set out to our special destination. We went to TAO, a Japanese buffet restaurant. I knew he would love it because he loved Japanese food. Seeing the surprised+happy look on his face is enough to make my day =)

Then, we had our brunch. It was definitely one of the best restaurant we've been to =)

(MIKE):

The food at TAO restaurant is delicious. We tried all the different types of food and by the time we left, I was so full I almost exploded!

Here are some pictures of some of the food we ordered.

We went back to our friend's condo after that.

And I took a long bath.

After my bath, Sufang went to bath.

I laid on the bed and listen to songs on my iPad,

and without realizing it, I dozed off.

After I woke up, which is about an hour later, I see no signs of Sufang in the room,

so I went out to the living room.

(SUFANG):

When he opened the door, I had just finished preparing everything.

"Surprise, my dear!!" I said happily, holding the Baskin-Robin cake my friend help me buy earlier.

I can see he was overjoyed because of all the surprises for the day. I felt happy too, because I was able to make him happy on his birthday. We shared a kiss and ate the cake. And now it's time for the most important part, the PRESENT =D

(MIKE):

I opened the first present. Inside it was a photo frame made by Sufang herself. I was beautiful and I loved it. Then, I opened the second present. I can't believe it. It was a Guess watch!!!

I had always wanted a watch but never wanna spend so much money for one! And Sufang actually bought me one. I was sooo happy that I gave her a big kiss on the cheek and tried it out. It fitted perfectly.

Well, 3 months passed since my birthday. And the watch? I've been wearing it ever since =)

This is our story and our best experience at shopping online, because it had made our day, and we have lelong and superbid to thank for that.

The other day when Sufang came,

we went shopping and bought an Armani|Exchange shirt for her.

Weirdly, the plastic bag given to us is the Club 21 plastic bag.

At first I thought, WTH is Club 21?? I want the A|E bag !!!

Then I went back and check out the Club 21 website and wiki-ed it.

Club 21 is actually a luxury retail company with shops in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, UK and the US of A =)

In Malaysia, it manages the brand Calvin Klein, Armani|Exchange, DKNY, DKNY Jeans and Mulberry.

WOw.. I want a membership card ASAP.

Then I checked the Club 21 page.

To get a membership card, it's very simple. Just spend RM1000 in a single receipt.

FARRKKK!!!!

My target: Get a Club21 card by the end of the year =P

Into Materialism

My Mentor is a Fraud !!!

I am writing this post to alert you to the pitfalls when seeking a trading method, or a trading mentor. If you have been reading this blog you will know I was quite pleased to have found myself a mentor back in June 2010. I found him on a great trading community website called Forex Factory – many of you reading this will know about it. I have a lot of respect for Forex Facotry, they provide some great market information and have a community of experienced and intelligent forex traders. Have a look on there and look up the following members:

james16, jacko, BeachBum, DarkStar, hanover, PeterCrowns, mbqb11, trader888, BillyRayValentine, diallist, smjones, TheRealThing.

I recommend you look them all up and read all of their posts with the exception of one. Do not read the posts of my mentor, jacko. Jacko (aka. as Wayne Jackson) managed to gain himself a high reputation on Forex Factory with sheer luck and guile. Many people vouched for him using the vouching system because he “seemed” to be a selfless contributor and a good trader. It turns out he is a scammer. His trading method attracted me because it seemed so simple and I believe in trying to keep things simple. As Einstein said:

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.

I really believe in that, it applies to so many areas of life – in programming, planning, general life, trading. Keeping things simple makes life easier and clearer.

Jacko’s method

Anyway, back on topic. Jacko’s method was simply this:

Only trade one currency pair, EURUSD
Only trade one chart time frame, the four hour.
Define the trend by asking a five year old if it’s going up or down (I’m not joking), draw a diagonal trend line.
If it’s going up then buy on pullbacks to support and leave a trailing stop in place
If it’s going down then sell on rallies to resistance with a trailing stop.
Leave the trade until the trailing stop is hit.
If the stop is hit then wait for price to go another 50-100 pips and then place an order to buy/sell in the direction of the original trade where you got stopped out. Jacko called this the anti-hedge method – I have no idea why because the term is meaningless, it has nothing to do with hedging. It’s not even anti-hedging.

That’s it, Jacko’s method. Now, when he started posting on forex factory he seemed to come across as a benevolent man sharing his “secret” and gained a large following. Now, why did he gain a large following? The EUR/USD had a very long uptrend which Jacko simply bought into over and over again. He was lucky and it appeared on the forums that this guy had a rare talent.

Turtles

Some time later he announced that he would be starting up a mentoring service similar to the famous turtles of the 1980s and they became known as Jacko’s turtles. Here’s some background on the turtles:

The Bet: Richard Dennis and William Eckhardt Create the Turtles

Picture an oak-paneled English drawing room. Two obviously wealthy gentlemen sit in their armchairs facing a roaring fire, puffing on their pipes and discussing their philosophy of trading. It is my proposition, Colin, that anyone can be taught to be a superior trader. There is nothing magical about it. There is no rare talent involved. It is simply a matter of being taught the appropriate rules and following those rules. There is no question in my mind that I could train virtually anyone to make a fortune trading. That is nonsense, Duncan. You just think your trading success is due to your system. What you do not realize is that you have a special talent. You could print out your rules in twelve-inch-high letters and have people read them every day for a year, and they still would not be able to do what you do in the markets. Your success is a function of your talent. It cannot be taught! Well, Colin, this must be the hundredth time we’ve had this discussion. Let’s settle it once and for all. Why don’t we just pick ten people, teach them my system, give them each 1 million to trade and see what happens. That’s an excellent idea, Duncan. Pick your ten people, train them, and if by the end of one year they are not ahead, on average, by at least 25 percent–a modest figure considering that you normally make two to three times that per year–you pay me 1 million. If they are up by more than 25 percent, I will pay you the same amount. Duncan and Colin then proceed to the window, watching the passersby for potential candidates for their experiment. Each time they agree on an individual, they send their butler out to summon the person.

– The above may sound like a fanciful plot for a story or movie. (Actually, it is a very loose adaptation inspired by the delightful Mark Twain story, The 1,000,000 Bank-Note.) However, change the setting from London to Chicago, eliminate the monetary element of the bet, and substitute a more sophisticated method for screening candidates, and you actually have a true story. The legendary trader Richard Dennis, who reputedly transformed an initial stake of several thousand dollars into a fortune estimated at $200 million, essentially had the same argument with his partner, William Eckhardt. It was Dennis’s contention that trading success could be taught, while Eckhardt scoffed at the idea.

Jacko Turtles

Jacko did a similar thing on Forex Factory – I don’t think he coined the term, maybe one of his followers did, but the group he created was known as the Jacko turtles. The idea was that he would create a private blog with a list of all of his trades and the reasons for taking the trades and would also send an SMS message to each turtle alerting them when he placed an order in the market. He started charging $500 per year for this service and made out that it was severely limited and only a few people would be allowed to join.

For the first year it seemed to go very well because the market was strongly trending on the H4 time frame and the turtles seemed happy. Jacko then announced that he would start a second group of turtles and the fee went up to $700 per year. He seemed to get a lot of support on Forex Factory and all was well. Shortly after this he announced that due to demand and with a suggestion from his “broker”, “Mark” he should start a fund. This is where the scam really starts. Not only was he taking $700 per year from God knows how many people for trading “education”, he was using the turtles as a pool of people he could draw large amounts of capital from. Some people in this pool gave him upwards of $100K and it’s quite possible that he could have made over $1m from this pool. I didn’t give him any money because I wanted to learn how to trade my own account, I wasn’t interested in giving a large some of money to someone I didn’t know very well.

Something’s not right

I joined the second group in July 2010 and a week after I joined Jacko announced that he was closing the fund and would stop writing the blog 12 months from July:

In November 2007, I started this blog. It has been a rewarding two and a half years.
On August 8, 2008, I started the Managed Fund. As we come up to the second anniversary of the Fund, I have had to make a hard decision. Do I want to rapidly expand the Fund (as Mark could easily do, and would like me to do) or not. The Fund has performed very well, especially in its first year, when it produced exceptional positive returns while every other asset class (property, stocks bonds etc) were losing 50% of their value due to the Financial Crisis of 2009. It has continued to perform reasonably well this year.
However, I have come to the conclusion that, while I have enjoyed the experience of growing the Fund, I do not need, or want, the time consumption of developing another large and growing business over the next couple of years. I am at the stage of my life when I want to spend every day as if it were my last. (If I was 30 years younger I would attack this business with full gusto).
Having developed and sold two very large businesses previously in my business life, plus some smaller ones, it seems that I have a talent for building successful businesses. I was happily retired before I found forex and Mrs Jackson wishes to revert to that life with me trading just my own account.
Also I have found that, in these deteriorating economic times, the weight and responsibility of managing other people’s money has been making me trade too cautiously and has impeded my own trading ability.
As a result of the above, I am closing the Fund and remitting the balances to each investor. We will be doing his in an orderly manner.
We will be be asking each of Mark’s large investors to forward their bank details and closing their accounts during July.
For each of the investors from the Jackson trading group, we will be asking them to forward their bank details in early August. (Please see the JacksonFortressMembers website for more details. I will be updating it later today).
Furthermore, I have decided to continue the blog for only the next 12 months. I am not accepting any new members from today and, as many of you are aware, I have not been sending any renewal notices for the last six months. (I have been considering my decision as to the blog for some time). I will allow everyone to stay free of any renewal charge until the blog is closed.

His performance in the year prior to this announcement was shocking. In fact, me as a total newbie, wet behind the ears trader, managed to trade better than Jacko did in the past year. His trading was full of hesitation, doubt, mistakes, changing of rules constantly and regret and emotion. All the things you DON’T want to see in a mentor. So at this point, after only a week, I decided to ask Jacko for a refund of my $700. A couple of weeks went by and I did not get a reply, I sent a further four emails over the next four weeks and did not get one reply. I thought that was a little odd, because he had been very responsive and cordial before he had my money.

I then did some research on Forex Factory and was dismayed to learn that the investors had not been receiving their money and that Jacko was not replying to them either. Some of these people had given Jacko tens of thousands of dollars and were getting quite desperate and angry. I now know that the police, Interpol and various people are on to him to try and find out where he has disappeared to. The odd thing is that the private blog is still being updated but the writing style has changed leading me to believe it is a different person updating the blog. On the private blog, Jacko wrote this:

It is 1.00am NY time Thursday August 12 and the market is at 1.2875.
My buy trade at 1.3020 was stopped out by my Stop Loss at 1.2920. The AH trade order to buy at 1.2920 was placed when the market dropped 50 pips below my stop out price of 1.2920 at 1.2870. I am now waiting for the AH trade to be activated.
Yesterday, I had the joy of finding out that a couple of the final fund payouts to the small investors from the trading group were “diverted” by a (now) ex-employee. I am now resolving the issue and remedying the situation. It just proves again to me that trading by yourself is far better than any other business where you are relying on staff.

Yeah right.

I know it’s a sad state of affairs, but the irony of this post made me smile.

Caveat Emptor

So to wrap up then, the moral of the story is Caveat Emptor and I doubt I will get my $700 refunded. As one person said on the Jacko thread on Forex Factory:

There’s always free cheese in a mousetrap.

I want to look forward now and focus on the new method of trading using scale-ins and scale-outs and try to forget about the whole Jacko experience. I will not write any new posts on Jacko but may update this post later if any further developments arise. I’ve saved his entire private blog on my computer for future reference if need be.

Twee, the site manager of Forex Factory posted an interesting message on Forex Factory today.

Hi Folks, after making the first post about this situation the FF team decided to give Jacko some time to show up and clear his name before we took any action. Jacko is still missing so we’re ready to give him the scammer treatment and ban him. However, we’re not yet going to move this thread to the Recycle Bin so it can serve as a visible warning to others who are considering giving money to a commercial operator.
Unfortunately banning Jacko is all we can do in this situation. We don’t know who Jacko is, we’ve never worked with him or even talked to him, but he did leave digital artifacts that could help in an investigation. We are happy to release this information to the proper authorities or attorneys representing investors. We will not release this information to anyone but authorities or attorneys representing investors. To request the information, please contact us by clicking ‘Contact’ in the footer. We may post some of this information publicly in the future depending on the legalities.
It really saddens our team to see so many people hurt so badly by Jacko, especially on our bandwidth. We are against commercial operators because we believe 99.99% of them are either a scam or offer little value. We give a lot of leeway to the experienced traders on this forum who aggressively challenge the commercial operators because we believe they are doing a great service for the community. Nowhere else on the forum do we allow such harassment to take place. However, we’ve employed a policy that says to extract bickering and overboard challenges once the thread gets too hot (i.e., too many Cleanup Reports coming in). We did this to appease the followers, not the commercial operator they were defending. We’ve learned our lesson with Jacko and we are no longer going to extract arguments from Commercial Forum threads unless it’s extremely hostile or in bad taste. We will generally ignore heat coming from followers.

I'm still a beginner at Forex Trading

But I learnt a valuable lesson today.

Didn't see a trend??

Don't trade!!!

When I got back from work,

opened up my demo account,

I couldn't seem to find a trend in EUR/USD.

So, I decided to gamble.

Made a trade and went to nap

An hour later,

woke up and I was down 40pips!!!

luckily I managed to cut my loss to 30pips.

Lesson of the day:

Do not predict, use indicators and trend lines to determine trends.

Luckily,

I sold short and won back the lost pips and now I'm up by 10 pips.

Thanks to the trend =P

Lost $900 last night.

After work, took a short nap.

8.30pm, started playing Forex demo account.

EUR/USD is starting to move already.

Played 5 lots per trade, meaning its around 50 profit/loss per pip movement.

Win a little less than 50pips.

That means its around $2300.

If I have a mini account,

that would be around $230.

Done for the day.

Time: 11.30pm

50pip profit in 3 hours.

Not bad =)

Malaysian Brain Drain, me likey =)

These few days, I've been reading about the Malaysian brain drain. It seems that many people, especially Chinese and Indians, are migrating overseas to work. Well, who could blame them, considering the double standards, the low pay and the overall useless-ness of Malaysia.

I understand why they decided to move. I, for one, am not that proud to be a Malaysian. I hope to move overseas someday too, preferably US or Australia or UK or any western countries. If no money, Singapore only-lah =P

Here's one of the news about the brain drain and how Najib set up the Talent Corp to lure the diasporas back to Malaysia. Funny as hell, and true too!!

Johan Mahmood Merican must be breathing something different from the rest of us. In an interview with the Singapore Straits Times, he said that rhetoric over race will not impact the efforts of his organisation, Talent Corp, to lure Malaysians back home.

In essence, he said Malaysians living abroad will look at the policies of the Najib administration rather than be influenced by the chatter over race which has dominated the national discourse.

I suppose he has to say positive things but without realism this Talent Corp venture is doomed for failure. And the signs are that Johan is in la-la land.

The majority of the more than one million Malaysians did not leave the country because the tax rate is uncompetitive or because public transportation is woeful or because the national education system is dismal. They left because deep in their gut they did not believe they would get a fair shake in this country.

If Talent Corp did some research, it would realise that the spike in migration numbers was noticeable when race relations were at their worst and the sense of alienation among non-Malays over their position in this country. Does Johan even believe that Malaysians in Singapore, London and Melbourne are excited about the ETP, NKRA or whatever.

Please-lah. All these men and women have heard and read about the MSC and the economic corridors and have seen the major gap between plans and implementation. They know that Bumiputera and Umno interests have to be taken care and that meritocracy will take a back seat to affirmative action imperatives.

They also know that the general feeling among Umno types and civil servants is that returning talent is not welcome.

But most of all Malaysians abroad increasingly cannot recognise the country they left. It would not have helped matters that both Prime Minister Najib Razak and former PM Mahathir Mohamad refused to accept a main point of the World Bank study that Malaysia’s brain drain was mainly the result of social injustice.

Now if the people of influence in government refuse to accept the underlying factors of the brain drain, how serious can they be of wanting to tackle the problem? The answer: not very serious.

These national leaders do not condemn the race rhetoric and increasingly right-wing tone of Malaysia. In fact, they seem to encourage it, allowing Ibrahim Ali and the mainstream media to get away with insulting non-Malays and non-Muslims.

Does Johan actually believe that Malaysian Christians working abroad are interested in coming back now that Utusan Malaysia has started a campaign against Christianity?

So I think given his interview with the Singapore Straits Times, we can conclude that Talent Corp is doomed for failure.

So in conclusion, Talent Corp failed even before it began operation. Why?? Because it's set up by the government-lah !!

FOREX - My Gold Mine??

During this month of my internship,

apart from wasting my time playing games and sleeping,

I read numerous, actually only two, books about Forex.

Forex is basically a currency exchange, something like stocks,

in which you trade a pair of currencies and try to benefit from it.

Well, I did try to play Forex with a demo account of USD100,000.

And, after two weeks of trying, I think I'm finally getting a hang of it.

For today's trade,

I profited USD1,000!!!

Not bad for a beginner eh?

Well, it's actually not as easy as it sounds though,

I lose more than I earned actually =P

I hope to make a consistent profit by the time I start playing for real.

But for the time being..

Well, even if I earned 1 mil in a trade,

it's all virtual and I can't buy sh*t with it.

Let me tell you a story

of the love of my life...

We met at an installation night

when we were 14.

After that night,

I knew she was going to be

something special to me.

When we were 15,

we were in the same class.

We were friends;

and my feelings for her grew.

But I knew she wasn't ready for me.

She had a boyfriend.

I thought it will be just some silly crush.

But fate had other plans.

She broke up.

But not everyone was blind.

Such a pretty girl being single.

Soon she was surrounded by guys again.

One of them is my friend and classmate.

But she wasn't ready for a relationship.

And therefore I kept silent.

I was going to move to Kedah next year.

It was the worst news that I had that year.

Not being able to see her again;

Her sweet smile;

Her beautiful eyes;

After I left,

I focused on my life without her.

Then one day,

God sent me a message.

I fell from the motorcycle I was driving one night.

They say when you are dying,

your whole life will flash in front of you.

But I didn't.

I only saw her.

Only her.

During treatment at the local clinic,

I muster all my courage and sent an SMS to her.

She was worried.

Of course, I did not tell her until the part

where I saw her when I fell from the motorbike.

From that day onwards,

we would spend our free time

texting each other.

Spending time with each other.

My feelings for her grew,

and i know there is no going back.

On her 16th birthday,

I told her

"I love you"

She was surprised.

But she told me

"I am not ready"

Those words were like

daggers to my heart.

I was crushed.

But I told myself.

I will be there for her.

Whenever she needs someone,

I will be there for her.

I may not be the one,

but I will be there for her,

no matter what.

As we spend more time together,

our feelings for each other grew.

After 6 months of courtship,

On 06.06.2006;

I asked her

"Would you be my girlfriend?"

And she accepted.

That was the happiest day of my life.

From that day onwards,

we walked on

to start a new journey together,

hand-in-hand.

And we never let go since.

Everything becomes beautiful when you are with me,

and then I realized that I was falling in love.

but no one has really done anything about it....

Acts of child abuse I would never want to see happening again

There are many forms of child abuse.
I had listed the common abuse below and i do not wish
to see any kind of abuse happening to children as they should be
treated tenderly and with love.

Neglect

Child neglect happens when parents fails
to provide adequately for their children,
including physical, emotional, medical and educational.

Parents have the responsibility to take care of their children
and neglecting their children is one of the worst child abuse of all
and i would never want see it happen again..
STOP CHILD ABUSE !!

Child Sexual Abuse

Child sexual abuse is a form of abuse
where older adolescent abuses a child for sexual stimulation

Forms include pressuring child to engage in sexual activities,
indecent exposure of private parts to a child,
displaying pornographic content to a child, or
actual sexual contact with a child

I would never want to see child sexual abuse happening
because this is no doubt the worst kind of abuse
and only an animal would do these things and it will
impact the child forever...
STOP CHILD ABUSE !!

Physical Abuse

Physical abuse means physical aggression shown by adults
towards children, which includes
striking, shoving, kicking, slapping
and shaking a child.

Physical abuse can hurt a child not only physically,
but emotionally as well....
Therefore, I do not want to see it happening again
because a child is a God's creation and should be treated with love and care.

Psychological / Emotional Abuse
Of all the possible types of child abuse, emotional or psychological abuse is the
hardest to define. It includes name-calling, degradation, ridiculing,
destruction or throwing of personal belongings or pets, humiliation and negative labeling.

For me, this form of abuse is way too common
and people don't usually do anything about it...
Therefore, I do not wish to see this act happening because
it may affect the children drastically and they may feel
helpless, started to blame themselves and become anti-social.

Show The Children You Care

Please

Have you guys ever heard of Forex Trading?

It's basically a trading of currencies. I don't know much about it but im thinking of exploring it this coming sem break...

This sem im too poor and it makes me think of ways for me to earn money. there are lots of things that i want but still don't have. I'd love a new phone, new camera (DSLR), new laptop and clothes. haha... since when have i been so materialistic??

I think i spent more time on these things than studying.. haih... no mood at all to study... hopefully i don't screw up my exams =(

1. Got a new CHINDIAN shirt.. haha...

2. Went CAMERONS ( only nice thing happened so far )

3. Went to IPOH a few times...

4. Supposed to go on BUKA PUASA with BITS, but didn't make it.. Luckily for me coz they were involved in an accident and didn't even get to eat... ZzZ...

5. Went to KL... Only to end in misery...
3 years together.. ended in 3 seconds... (T_T)

1. PROM ( Masquerade Night )
2. AKON beach concert ( AWESOME !!! )
